A smart, well-located base with a rooftop that sells itself, if you pack light and like your check-in self-service.
Best for / Tips to get it right
Best for
- Couples on a city break who plan to be out all day: 21 of 40 reviews highlight the location, and the rooftop bar with Eiffel Tower views gives you a reason to come back early.
- Solo travellers who want a central, safe base: the metro line 1 stop is right there and 13 of 40 reviews mention the helpful staff.
- Design lovers who like smart-room tech: the tablet controls everything from lights to blinds, and the lobby is a place to hang out, not just pass through.
- Business trips when you need to be in the 8th arrondissement: fast check-in kiosks, reliable Wi-Fi and a quiet room (5 reviews mention the quiet) make it work.
Tips to get it right
- Pack light and plan to live out of your suitcase. Several guests note there is not much storage space, so keep that in mind if you are staying more than a few nights.
- Ask for a room on a higher floor or at the back if street noise bothers you. Some reviews mention it, so it is worth requesting when you book.
- Check your rate carefully for breakfast. 5 reviews praise it, but it is not automatically included in every booking.
- Use the rooftop bar for a drink even if you are not a guest. It is one of the most mentioned features, and the view is the draw.
Why this one
This one earns its spot because of the address. Rue La Boetie puts you two minutes from the Arc de Triomphe and right on metro line 1, and 21 of the 40 reviews we read mention the location first thing. It is not just a convenient dot on the map either. The hotel sits next to a Galeries Lafayette and a short walk from the Champs-Elysees, so shopping and sightseeing do not need a plan. The second strong signal is the team. 13 of 40 reviews praise the staff, often by name, for being helpful with early check-in or sorting out booking hiccups. That kind of welcome matters when you arrive tired. The rooftop bar gets its own mentions, 6 in total, with several guests pointing out you can see the Eiffel Tower light up at night. For a 4-star hotel in this part of Paris, that is a nice card to play. Rooms are compact. The hotel does not hide it, and neither do guests. But 7 reviews note the cleanliness, and 5 mention how quiet it can be, so the small footprint is not the whole story.
What guests keep saying
Location is the headline. 53% of the reviews we read mention it, and most of those go further to say it is the best location they have had in Paris. The team comes second, with 33% of reviews calling out specific staff for being attentive, multilingual and quick to help. Cleanliness gets a solid 18%, with guests noting the rooms are small but well kept. The rooftop bar and restaurant appear in 15% of reviews, often with a mention of the Eiffel Tower view. Breakfast and check-in each get 13%, with early check-in being a pleasant surprise for several guests. Quietness also pops up in 13% of reviews, which is notable for such a central spot. Room size is the recurring caveat, but it is framed as a trade-off rather than a dealbreaker. Guests say the beds are comfortable, the showers are good, and the smart-room controls are fun to use. A few mention the lack of in-room coffee or water, so bring your own if that matters to you.

The bit the hotel does not tell you
The hotel has a filtered water dispenser in the lobby, and guests appreciate it. Also, the door closers are quiet, which helps if you are a light sleeper. If you want a view of the Eiffel Tower from the rooftop, go at night when it sparkles. And if you arrive early, ask about early check-in. Several guests were able to get into their room before the official time.
